Hang Out Spot

The place that I hang out is mostly at my friends house in his garage. Everytime when I go there we would mostly likely kick it in the garage we would lift weights, watch television are do other things that we would do. Why do we kick it in his garage because thats where mostly everything is at the chairs sofa the portable water dispenser is at. We stay in there because we can see everything that is going on outside in street from where he lives at. We usually kick it there couple times a week in the garage either gambling for money or just having friends over and drink a couple of beer, have some girls over to hang out with us too. From where I hang out at we can just walk down the street to the playground area to play football when the wheater is nice and cold so you won't get hot and start to sweat. Wells that is pretty much i can tell you for right now.

Casa

In the essay "Casa:A Partial Rememberance Of A Puerto Rican Childhood", by Judith Ortiz Cofer, the author describes how woman gather in the living room on rocking chairs to gossip about men and marriage. In the story the author is a child at the age of twelve years old girl listening to the grandma's and aunts, while the mom is fixing up her hair. Trying to remember back when i was around the age of ten when my aunt, uncle, grandmother, and my cousin's would come down to Merced for Christmas. I can remember was my mom and aunt talking about some kind of gossip I was young so then I didn't care about it, all i cared about was just trying to go out side and play with my brother and cousin that came down from Redding. My two sister and my four girl cousin's would go into my sister room and talk about stuff, so my brother, cousin, and I did our own stuff from them. My two grandma would always tell us kids stories about how they would used to do this and that back in Thailand waking up in the morning, coming home kinda late from working on the fields. They had told us that they had actually seen big foot but then wasn't sure what it was at the time, they said they had seen the foot prints of big foot.

A Day In The HomeLess Life

In the story "A Day in the HomeLess Life", by Colette Russell, the author describes the daily acvtivities of a homeless woman. The institution is mostly often associated with Thanksgiving as a Salvation Army soup kitchen and it becomes the center attention of the television news stories, being in a homeless life is a difficult thing to be in . I have never been homeless but then if it comes to that point of being homeless I think it would be difficult because of not knowing anybody I would probably go crazy living in homeless shelter, I think I wouldn’t be able to co-operate with any homeless people that I didn’t know. I had never worked at the Salvation Army as a volunteer so I don’t have the experience like mostly other people that do go and help out with the Salvation Army. I can remember back every year for Christmas at my church we would tell other people from other churches to gather up at the First Baptist Church which is the church that I go to. Every year our church would buy alot of gifts and wrap them up and either putted a boy or girl tag on it so we would know which gift is for which person but you have to get ur raffle ticket number picked out to recieve it. After all of it is done the youth kids would help out our guesses to there seats and serve them the food to there table and ask them if they would want anything to drink like water or soda. There was a example in the story " A Day in the Homeless Life", by Colette Russell, she was robbed and she had to carry all of her belongings everywhere that she went too, I think i just couldn't live in a homeless shelter after reading the storie and writting a blog about it.

Visiting Around Merced

If you are a visitor from out of state or out of town coming to visit merced then there are couple sites from merced that you would like to visit like the old high school that had first came out it is on the street of Mst right next to the old superior court and the Merced police department and the memorial from the people that had died from the Vietnam war wit the veteran's names that had went to war for there country and died. If you liked to go to the park and play sports there is always applegate park that is just around the corner from the police department and the memorial place, its a nice big park for alot of people to gather up and play sports. Since Merced is getting bigger now you can always drive out to Lake Yosemite to go fishing and swimming, right next to the lake is our UC Merced which had just been up for about a year now, if you like to go hiking then Yosemite National Park is just about a 2 hour drive just to get up there, their is place's to hike trails ride your bike and spend some good qualite time at mother nature.

A Kindness Of Me

I can still remember this summer sunny day during our summer vacation after the 8th grade about four or five years ago when I was at my house. I was just sitting down on the coach watching television and all of a sudden with out thinking I just got up and started to clean the family and dinning room after that I had started to clean up the kitchen area from dusting and mopping the floors. After all of that was done I decided to clean my bedroom too because it was a big mess, when my mom had came home she had asked me if I had cleaned up the house when she was gone, so then I had told her yeah I cleaned up the house. She had asked me " so what made you clean up the house?" I had told her I don't know I had just decided to clean up the house because I was bored, all of a sudden my mom had gave me like fourty dollars just from cleaning up the whole house.

Getting Confronted

I can still remember the time when my friend had thought something wrong about me that had happened and he had thought it was my fault but then it never was. It had happened during a summer night when we were just kicking it at a friends house doing what we always do, so all of a sudden he had just confronted me that I had told his girlfriend that he was playing on her with another girl. I had told him to trust me that I would never do anything like that to a cousin but then he wouldn't believe, so then I had told him to go down the street so we can talk about what just happened of him trying to confront me. When we got down the street I had told him straight out like what I always tell everyone that its either your my cousin or homie im telling you the truth, if you don't wanna believe me then don't. After all the talking he had appologized to me saying that he messed up for trying to confront me for what happened when it wasn't my fault, after what we talked about everything was all cool with him and his girlfriend.
